Salary: $30/hour

Job Description: As an ECE Childcare Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the centre meets all legal requirements, including licensing regulations. You will also assist in the development of childcare programs and keep up-to-date on issues relating to program design and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, providing a safe environment for children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with parents, communicating effectively and dealing with questions or issues that arise.
  
• Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries with parents, children, and colleagues.
  
• Monitor children's attendance and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  
• Prepare progress reports and discuss them with parents and staff.
  
• Participate in weekly staff meetings and contribute to program planning and decision-making.
  
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  

Requirements:

We are looking for an individual with an Early Childhood Education Diploma or degree, and 1-2 years' related experience. A registered member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Education is essential. Additionally, a Current First Aid/CPR certificate and a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check are required.

• Sensitivity and respect for individual and cultural differences
  
• Knowledge of First Nations Culture and Language would be an asset
