Key Responsibilities
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflict situations in a calm and professional manner, ensuring the well-being and safety of clients.
  • Supervision and Support: Supervise activities of clients living in group homes and half-way houses, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Client Care: Assist clients/guests with special needs, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Accompaniment: Accompany clients to appointments and social outings, providing emotional support and companionship.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Certifications: First Aid Certificate.
  • Transportation: Own transportation, valid driver's licence, and own vehicle.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and physically demanding.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, judgement, client focus, excellent written communication, flexibility, initiative, and team player.
Working Conditions
  • 12 to 40 hours bi-weekly.
  • Permanent work term.
  • Work language: English.
