About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder-Fitter Helper to join our team at K-Arc Ventures Ltd. As a key member of our heavy machinery manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality metal products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Metal Cleaning Equipment: Safely operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from metal products.
  • Transport Items: Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment, ensuring timely and efficient movement of materials.
  • Sort and Organize Materials: Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Grind and Polish Metal Products: Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools and polish metal products to a mirror finish.
  • Clean and Maintain Equipment: Clean machines and immediate work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Load and Unload Vehicles: Load and unload vehicles, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Read and Interpret Work Orders: Read and interpret work orders, understanding production requirements and deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to handle weights up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, reliability, team player, and resourcefulness are essential qualities for this role.
Working Conditions

This role is based in an industrial facility or establishment, with a dusty, hot, and noisy work site environment. Public transportation is not available, and a steel-toed safety boot, safety glasses/goggles, and gloves are required personal protective equipment.

Language and Work Hours

The primary language for this role is English, and the work hours are 40 hours per week. This is a permanent position, and we offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate.
