Parking Facilities Supervisor

Parking Facilities Supervisor is a key role within the Hamilton Municipal Parking System, responsible for overseeing the delivery of efficient and effective operations & maintenance for all parking facilities. This position requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure a healthy and safe environment for patrons and client departments.
Key Responsibilities
This role involves coordinating and supervising staff, contractors, and vendors in daily operations through planning, scheduling, and organizing work activities related to municipal parking facilities. The supervisor administers and oversees the delivery of parking maintenance operations and programs, including cleaning, inspecting, painting, signage, pavement markings, preventative, and demand maintenance services. Additionally, this role entails maintaining a preventative maintenance program by implementing and monitoring procedures, schedules, and reports for various facilities and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all parking facilities meet current standards regarding operation, appearance, safety, and other relevant aspects.
Required Skills and Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess experience in facility management with a recognized Facility Management Professional (FMP) designation or a combination of education and/or work-related experience. Strong knowledge of technical operations related to building maintenance and operations is essential, as well as demonstrated relevant supervisory, leadership, and organizational skills. The ability to coordinate with internal staff and contractors to ensure timely completion of preventative/demand maintenance and emergency maintenance services is also crucial. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to deal diplomatically with all levels of management, staff, elected officials, and the public.
