Island Health is seeking a visionary Executive Medical Director, Clinical Operations to lead and direct clinical programs and services across the Nanaimo and Oceanside area. Reporting to the Vice-President, Medicine and Quality, this role will ensure seamless delivery of medical care, optimal patient care outcomes, and effective client-focused delivery of health and clinical services.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience within a complex healthcare environment, with a strong track record of effectively integrating clinical programs and services. This includes bold, decisive, and courageous leadership, with exceptional interpersonal skills and political acumen. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a keen understanding of healthcare trends and challenges, committed to promoting optimal patient care outcomes while upholding Island Health's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for all clinical programs and services across the Nanaimo and Oceanside area
- Ensure seamless delivery of medical care, optimal patient care outcomes, and effective client-focused delivery of health and clinical services
