Job Title: Postal Clerk

We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Retail Counter Clerk to join our team at Canada Post. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high level of customer service to all customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
• Operate a computerized point of sale system to process transactions and manage inventory.
• Maintain a high level of knowledge of postal products, services, and delivery options.
• Process financial transactions, including cash, cheques, debit, and credit card payments.
• Receive, sort, and sequence mail items, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Exercise physical effort in the handling of mail items weighing up to 22.7 kilograms (50 pounds).
• Maintain floor displays and conduct merchandizing and inventory control.

Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service in a retail environment.
• Sales experience is an asset.

Additional Requirements:

You will be required to pass pre-employment tests, a security screening, and an interview. This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position and has additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
