Lead Video Software Architect

We are looking for a talented Lead Video Software Architect to join our team at Microsoft Canada. As a key member of the Xbox Video team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge video solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible on our platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, with a focus on video technologies such as encode, decode, color processing, motion estimation, and rate control. Experience working with low-level drivers and firmware is a must, as well as a good understanding of general media concepts.

In this role, you will work closely with internal and external partners to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will also collaborate with other teams across the company to ensure seamless integration and delivery of our products.

As a Lead Video Software Architect, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of exciting projects, from developing new features and capabilities to optimizing performance and reliability.   • Design and develop cutting-edge video solutions for Xbox and other platforms
  • Work with internal and external partners to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Collaborate with other teams across the company to ensure seamless integration and delivery of products
  • Develop and maintain low-level drivers and firmware for video technologies
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in video technology and apply knowledge to drive innovation
