Aon's Mining Centre of Excellence is a leading provider of insurance and risk management solutions to the mining industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mining Broker to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in client and prospect meetings to develop and implement effective risk management strategies
- Collaborate with clients to design and implement customized insurance solutions
- Work closely with sales producers to identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the mining industry
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced brokers to ensure the highest level of service delivery
- Analyze client-specific risk exposure and develop tailored coverage recommendations
- Prepare and present marketing proposals to clients and prospects
- Negotiate with underwriters to secure the best terms and conditions for Aon clients
- Ensure seamless communication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, with a strong background in casualty and natural resources/energy/mining sectors
- Expertise in risk management and insurance solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Broker license is an asset
