Job Title: Project Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team at Shape Process Automation. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects, ensuring strong project communication, integration, meeting project scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and integrate projects across all functional groups, including customer teams.
  • Identify key project stakeholders and manage project stakeholders' expectations within project business case constraints.
  • Establish communication channels and distribute key project information to provide a communication bridge between the project team and the customer.
  • Collect project requirements, develop scope definition, and establish high-level project goals and objectives for the project team in alignment with project contract documents and the customer.
  • Develop project cost and schedule baseline, ensuring commitments from functional groups.
  • Track and manage project critical path activities and deliverables.
  • Provide project leadership and manage project execution.
  • Ensure project quality objectives are met by developing quality plans and performing quality checks.
  • Report project progress to senior management.
  • Monitor project risk and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and manage project changes and issue change notices for customer approval.
  • Approve project invoicing according to milestone payment schedules and work completed.
  • Monitor project cash flow and spending.
  • Initiate, manage, or delegate management of subcontracts and subcontracted deliverables.
  • Collaborate with functional managers to meet project resource requirements while ensuring optimum resource allocation across multiple PMO projects.
  • Perform project close-out according to contractual acceptance criteria.

Requirements:

  • Excellent and experienced communicator at all levels of the organization.
  • Well-organized with a positive approach to company standards and departmental policies.
  • Excellent documentation maintenance skills.
  • Relentless drive for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  • Hands-on approach to problem-solving with a find-the-root-cause and 'dig-deep' analysis attitude.
  • Practices rigorous objectivity and cultivates balanced optimism.
  • Knowledge seeker and unbiased facts source with coaching skills.
  • Strong user of MS Excel.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Project.
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Good grasp of ERP and purchasing systems.
  • Technical college or university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as a project manager in a custom automation industry.
  • Training in project management and quality is a strong asset.
  • P.Eng. or PMP is an asset.
