Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Northern Health Authority. As a Registered Nurse in our ICU, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients presenting in the ICU Unit, providing individualized care to meet their unique needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
Requirements
  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
  • Current certifications in Therapy and Blood Glucose Monitor and Ventilator.
  • In-house Coronary Care Course Certificate or equivalent.
  • One (1) year full-time recent experience in intensive care.
