Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Advocacy: Provide holistic support to individuals, advocating on their behalf to ensure their unique needs and goals are met.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain effective communication strategies, working collaboratively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless support.
  • Personal Care and Daily Living: Assist individuals with personal care, daily living tasks, and meal preparation, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Behavioral Support and Strategies: Implement behavioral strategies, tracking and reporting progress to ensure individuals receive the best possible support.
  • Financial Management: Assist individuals with managing personal finances, budgeting, and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Professional Development: Engage in ongoing training and professional development to build specialized skills, competency, and knowledge in sensory loss.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum 1-year post-secondary education.
  • Experience: Up to one year of related work experience.
  • Commitment to Training: Commitment to engage in training to build specialized skills, competency, and knowledge in sensory loss.
  • Driver's License: A valid G Driver's License is an asset.
