Job Title: Acute Care Hospitalist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Acute Care Hospitalist to join our team at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our hospital's medical staff, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the hospital's mission to provide exceptional healthcare services.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide medical care to designated in-patients, working in partnership with other members of the medical staff.
  2. Participate in the provision of 24/7 coverage with other hospitalists, ensuring seamless care for patients.
  3. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and services at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.
  4. Utilize excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills to assess and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
  5. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to create and continuously reassess care plans.
  6. Participate in education and training programs to develop inpatient acute care skills and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements:
  1. College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) unrestricted license.
  2. ACLS Training.
  3. Previous experience in acute care hospital medicine is preferred.

  6. Seek appropriate consultation from other health professionals, recognizing the limits of their expertise.
