Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Compass Early Learning and Care. As an Educator, you will work alongside our school-age programs, creating enriching learning experiences for children and fostering strong relationships with families and community partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and lead interest-based and play-based activities that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Maintain active supervision and engage in play with children.
  • Document children's learning progress through observation, reflection, and research questions.
  • Create a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Assist with daily routines, including diapering, dressing, and eating habits.
  • Foster strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
  • Collaborate with coworkers, families, and community partners to create a supportive environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning opportunities, and staff training.
  • Assist with housekeeping duties within the program.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience working with children and youth.
  • Familiarity with the Child Care Early Years Act and licensing standards.
  • Valid certifications, including police vulnerable sector check, standard first aid, and CPR level C.
  • Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators or equivalent.
