Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to ensure design conformance to client and company standards.
- Prepare layouts, conceptual designs, calculations, and illustrations for distribution and transmission civil/structural projects.
- Assist in project coordination, strategic planning, client support, and business analysis to support the business development and project management departments.
- Support documentation process for projects, including technical specifications, tender documents, and project calculations.
- Interface with other design disciplines and stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
- Perform site visits to project locations to ensure quality and compliance.
- A degree in civil engineering from a recognized engineering educational institution.
- Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or EIT with EGBC.
- Civil engineering design experience in an electrical utility environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical utility civil standards, power transmission and distribution networks, and BC Hydro's design systems and standards is an asset.
- Experience with finite element modeling and analysis is an asset.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required to communicate effectively.
- A Class 5 driver's license and ability to travel occasionally are required.
