Job Description

IBM Computing is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Cloud Pak for Data team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our code and product.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with Product Management, Development, and Architecture to understand and guide product features and testing.
  2. Contribute to the development of new methods for automation in QA.
  3. Lead, attend, and participate in scrum meetings to understand development features.
  4. Manage testing environment and test data using various tools such as Jenkins & GIT.
  5. Execute and update test cases and scenarios. Perform usability, functional, and regression testing.
  6. Evaluate and test software bug fixes, extensions, and features.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. 4+ years of professional experience in Software testing.
  2. Experience with UI automation frameworks.
  3. Experience with build, testing, and continuous integration tools.
  4. Proficient in automation tools like Selenium, Puppeteer, etc.
  5. Proficient in shell scripting.
  6. Strong analytics and problem-solving skills.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Thrive in a self-motivated internal-innovation driven environment.
  9. Familiarity with Kubernetes.
  10. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience with Python, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, REST APIs and REST client like Postman, and familiarity with Openshift and Puppeteer framework would be an asset.
