Staff Software Engineer, Ruby on Rails at Huntress Labs

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an exceptional Staff Software Engineer to join our team in Huntress Labs. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our Ruby on Rails-based security platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of high-quality software features, focusing on UX/UI and API-driven work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and innovation
- Develop and maintain software designs, architectures, and standards
- Convert acceptance criteria into functional workflows and data models
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Ensure code quality and test coverage through code reviews and test plan reviews
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in developing complex software products
- 5+ years of experience in programming with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with JavaScript, Linux-based infrastructure, and databases such as Postgres
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated ability to lead the entire SDLC and drive technical excellence
