Health and Wellness Manager

At Dynacare, we're committed to helping Canadians achieve a healthy future with care and wellness solutions that are convenient, understandable, and accessible. We're seeking a Health and Wellness Manager to join our team in Winnipeg, Manitoba or Kelowna, British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide subject matter expertise, consultation, and implementation on health, safety, and wellness practices to foster a thriving and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Support national programs at the local level, including the introduction and maintenance of an incident management technology.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders regarding potential enhancements to the company's Employee Wellness, Safety, and Environmental policies, programs, processes, and standards.
  • Develop and monitor safety training material, leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Conduct internal safety audits and provide corresponding recommendations.
  • Ensure ongoing effective positioning and integration of corporate wellness, safety programs, and services.
  • Provide coaching and support for wellness and safety services on a systems-wide basis.
  • Analyze incident and accident data, as well as claims management programs and processes, to minimize workplace injuries and related claim costs.
  • Partner with the Corporate Disability Management team to facilitate short-term and long-term disability claims management.
  • Oversee annual compliance programs.

Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia safety requirements and legislation.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of biosafety.
  • Strong research skills.
  • 5+ years of progressive H&S business partner experience, including 2+ years of experience working with multiple sites and in multiple provinces.
  • Experience supporting employee client groups at different organizational levels.
  • Experience leading safety process and program change initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and implementing occupational health, safety, and emergency management system programs.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Biosafety experience in multiple provinces.
  • Strong leadership ability, relationship development, influencing, and persuasion skills at all levels of the organization.
  • Results orientation.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Experienced coach with a solid understanding of leadership principles.
  • Strong analytical skills and superior ability to problem solve complex issues.
  • Ability to be both hands-on and strategic.

Working Conditions:
