About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at Shell. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth and efficient checkout experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register: Accurately process transactions, handle cash, credit, and debit card payments, and maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
  • Process Transactions: Scan items, calculate total payment, and reconcile daily/shift payments with total sales.
  • Provide Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and resolve any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area: Maintain a clean and organized store environment by restocking shelves and cleaning the counter area.
  • Assist Customers with Self-Checkout: Provide assistance to customers using self-checkout and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Verify Age for Restricted Products: Verify the age of customers when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Work Environment

As a Cashier at Shell, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of customers. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work under pressure to meet sales targets.

Requirements
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
