Your Role at SafelyYouWe're looking for a Senior Software Development Manager to oversee our Fleet management team.
The fleet team is accountable for developing the software our cameras and servers use to detect falls and residents/caretakers' activities.
You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our fleet management platform and containerized embedded stack.
You'll collaborate closely with our product management team and peers to conceptualize, design, and execute mission-critical solutions focused on system scalability and reliability.
- You may also mentor junior team members and guide your projects through the entire development lifecycle.
As the most senior member in our Quebec presence, you will also serve as the site lead for SafelyYou.
You will represent SafelyYou in Quebec, contribute to overall R&D hiring in the area, organize local events, and participate in partnerships.
Responsibilities- Create strategic roadmaps for our Fleet solution, working closely with our operation team and product management.
- Lead and nurture an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
- Enhance the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of SafelyYou core embedded products with scale and reproducibility in mind: 'cattle only, and no pets'.
- Provide guidance to your team and assist with architectural decisions, investigations, troubleshooting issues, and designing solutions.
- Evaluate and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, while maintaining high standards of software quality.
- Promote the adoption of agile best practices while being an ambassador of our company values.
- Engage enthusiastically about the team, our mission, and technology.
