Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist to join our team at Claresholm. As a key member of our inter-professional team, you will be responsible for performing procedures in both the laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments, working with patients of all ages, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and analyze biological specimens, conduct X-ray examinations, ECGs, and report results.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, perform venipuncture and micropuncture, and maintain routine equipment.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and supplies are maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary team members to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a diploma from an accredited program in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT).
  • Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists (ACCLXT).
  • Proven ability to work in a computer-based environment and demonstrate proficiency in core laboratory theory and general radiography.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CLXT.
