Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance to our clients in the implementation of software solutions in complex environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical solutions to problems assigned by the technical lead on the project.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet project objectives.
  • Make effective use of time to deliver high-quality work products as agreed with the technical lead on the project.
  • Perform thorough testing of work products developed.
  • Escalate technical issues with the team leader for resolution.
  • Provide regular status updates on tasks assigned in the project to the technical lead and project manager.
  • Design and develop applications as assigned by the technical lead.
  • Coordinate development-level, system testing, and acceptance testing of applications and propose design changes when applicable.
  • Design and author help screens, menus, and indices to ensure ease of use and consistency.
  • Lead the technical design, programming, and code documentation for entire applications.
  • Prepare data models as required for the application.
  • Document requirements and other technical documents according to a methodology.
  • Provide presentations on project development or completed projects.
  • Focus on the development and enforcement of design standards for consulting services applications.

Requirements:

  • Fluent bilingualism (English and French)
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • At least 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of UNIX and Windows environments
  • Basic understanding of connectivity issues and connectivity protocols
  • Experience using relational database technology such as DB2 or Oracle
  • Experience with software design methodologies
  • Working knowledge of GUI technologies based on Java and.Net (Microsoft)
  • Experience with testing and validation techniques in software engineering
  • Ability to understand and customize software solutions
  • Ability to assess client requirements in a sales setting and suggest technical alternatives
