Job Title: Part Time Lifeguard and Swim Instructor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lifeguard and swim instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Three Rivers. As a lifeguard and swim instructor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our members and participants in the pool, while also providing high-quality swim instruction to individuals of all ages and skill levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all pool users
  • Supervise and support swimming lessons to ensure quality and consistency
  • Review and maintain lesson plans and progress evaluations of aquatic instructors
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all participants
  • Complete registrations and maintain waitlists using the YMCA Member Information/Registration system
  • Responsible for daily pool logs and monitoring pool chemistry
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of lifeguarding experience
  • Current National Lifeguard certification, Standard First Aid with CPR-C and AED, and Swim Instructor certification
  • Aquatic fitness certification and/or advanced instructor certifications are an asset
  • Acceptable Police Check for Vulnerable Sector
  • Applicants must be 16 years of age or older
