Responsibilities

  • Design and implement financial simulation models and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into financial performance and inform business decisions.
  • Ensure seamless cash management, analyzing cash flows and liquidity needs to maintain a healthy financial position.
  • Consult on profitability standards for investment projects, advising on the feasibility and potential returns of proposed initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on critical trends in the company's financial performance, providing recommendations to address any areas of concern.
  • Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting practices, and investment initiatives, proposing changes to processes, operating systems, budgets, and other financial control functions to improve financial performance.
  • Develop financial models and economic analysis to support strategic decisions, ensuring a data-driven approach to business planning.
  • Oversee taxation matters, preparing documents for tax returns and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Represent the company with banking institutions, auditors, tax and legal advisors, insurance companies, and government agencies, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of new ERP systems to drive financial efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • University degree with 10 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  • Hold the CPA title, with a strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
  • Proficiency in the Office 365 suite and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset, as is proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, with a keen sense of detail and precision.
  • Able to manage multiple sensitive projects on time, prioritize large workloads, and make sound strategic decisions.
