Job Title: Grocery Associate

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Grocery Associate to join our team at Otter Co-op's Mt. Lehman Food Store. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and safe store environment, and supporting the sales and inventory processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and making purchases.
  • Maintain a clean and safe store environment by restocking shelves, sweeping and mopping floors, and disposing of waste.
  • Support the sales and inventory processes by processing customer transactions, handling returns and exchanges, and reporting inventory discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales and customer service goals.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
