The Tower Inn & Suites/Begbie's Bar & Restaurant seeks a skilled Front Desk Clerk to provide exceptional customer service and manage front desk operations. This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.

About the Role

This Hotel Front Desk role involves registering guests, assigning rooms, processing arrivals and departures, and handling room reservations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively under pressure, and possess a strong understanding of hotel operations.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and Register Guests: Welcome guests, verify their identities, and process registrations efficiently.
  • Room Assignments: Assign rooms based on availability, guest preferences, and company policies.
  • Process Arrivals and Departures: Handle check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate billing and payment processing.
  • Room Reservations: Manage room reservations, cancellations, and changes, maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Provide Hotel Information: Offer guests information on hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A secondary education certificate or equivalent is required.
  • Experience an Asset: Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficiency in using multi-line switchboards, word processing software, database systems, and internet applications.
Work Environment and Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced hotel environment, standing for extended periods, and maintaining attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Benefits

The Tower Inn & Suites/Begbie's Bar & Restaurant offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We also offer free parking available to our staff members.
