CIMA+ is a firm owned by its employees, offering a collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment. Our team is seeking an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in the Eastern Townships, Greater Montreal Area, or Saguenay regions.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled engineer with experience in electrical power systems design, development, and implementation. The successful candidate will have expertise in control and protection systems, including single-line and three-line AC diagrams, as well as knowledge of electrical distribution, automation, and instrumentation.

The Electrical Power Systems Engineer will play a key role in developing electrical systems for control and protection, including drawings, specifications, and material lists. This includes designing and implementing DC power systems, such as battery capacity calculations and connection drawings for chargers, batteries, and inverters.

You will collaborate with experienced professionals, participate in project coordination meetings and design reviews, and coordinate work with other engineering disciplines involved in projects. Additionally, you may be required to provide site assistance and start-up services.

Requirements
  • A university degree in electrical engineering
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • More than seven years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, control, and protection
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Fluency in written and spoken English in a professional context
