As Director of Field Sales and Operations, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, developing and executing regional sales strategies, and fostering strong relationships with key retail partners and distributors.
The successful candidate will possess a strong track record of sales leadership, strategic planning, and customer relationship development within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. They will have extensive knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape and key sales channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership & Strategy: Lead and execute the sales strategy for Western Canada to meet and exceed revenue, distribution, and profit targets.
- Team Development & Management: Build, coach, and lead a team of sales professionals to ensure maximum effectiveness and impact.
- Go to Market Execution: Develop and execute current and new distribution models to maximize distribution and volume growth in all channels.
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop and nurture relationships with key retail partners and distributors across Western Canada.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in CPG, food, or retail.
- Proven track record of building and leading high-performing sales teams.
- Extensive knowledge of the Canadian retail landscape and key sales channels.
- Strong strategic planning skills, with the ability to adapt strategies to evolving market conditions.
