Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Social Worker to join our team as a Trauma Rehabilitation Specialist. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide assessment and counseling services to clients who have experienced trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord, and complex orthopedic injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and counseling services to clients who have experienced trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord, and complex orthopedic injuries
  • Interface with medical, legal, and insurance systems to ensure comprehensive care
  • Connect clients with relevant community-based resources and services
  • Advocate for and help clients access community-based resources that improve their well-being
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to rehabilitation goals described in treatment and care plans
  • Provide detailed, comprehensive reports as part of the medical-legal system
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational days, training sessions, and establishing personal networks
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work or degree in Psychotherapy with a minimum of two years clinical experience
  • Current registration with the OCSWSSW and Ontario Association of Social Workers or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
  • Motivated self-starter with superior technical, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle
  • Interest in couple's therapy would be an asset
