Fullstack Software Developer

Wealthsimple Digital Assets Inc. is seeking a skilled Fullstack Software Developer to join our team. As a Fullstack Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining reliable and scalable systems that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement features in the brokerage linking platform to serve emerging business needs.
- Evolving and maintaining system observability, testing, and automation to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Proactively strengthening the security of our systems, adopting and defining best practices in the domain.
- Acting as a technical leader and domain expert, frequently collaborating with other teams to enable their work.
- Working closely with team members advancing best practices and advocating for code quality in the domain.
- Experience building and maintaining reliable and scalable systems.
- Self-directed and able to work effectively both within their team as well as in consultation with teams outside their own.
- Proficiency with modern logging and monitoring tools and leveraging these as part of their daily development practice.
- Familiarity with AWS or other cloud service provider.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate and work across disciplines, partnering closely with infrastructure, security, and product teams.
- Learn about the foundations of Wealthsimple, and our current goals for the future that you will start to shape.
- Meet other new Wealthsimplers in your onboarding group and key people from each department, to start to build relationships across the company.
- Gather an understanding of our technology by pair-programming with your teammates and attending engineering onboarding sessions designed and presented by your peers.
- Have an assigned buddy within your team that will assist you in getting up-to-speed with our architecture and current projects.
- Reliably ship new features to our clients, following our best practices such as shipping daily, writing automated tests and monitoring.
- Contribute to or lead the technical design of a project, while understanding how it will shape our future architecture.
- Collaborate with other developers on the team while mentoring and providing continuous feedback via code reviews.
- Develop a big picture perspective and understand how our tools and frameworks come together. You'll feel comfortable contributing to various codebases.
