About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pet Care Specialist to join our team at Mango Spaw And Services Inc. As a Kennel Attendant, you will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our furry friends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing and Grooming: Bathe and shampoo animals to keep them clean and well-groomed.
  • Food and Nutrition: Prepare and serve food to animals, ensuring they receive a balanced diet.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Animal Care: Clean animal ears, clip animal nails, and provide overall care to animals.
  • Administrative Tasks: Schedule and confirm appointments, and invoice clients in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: The ideal candidate will have experience working in a kennel environment.
  • Animal Specialization: Domestic animals/pets (cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, etc.)
  • Transportation: The candidate must have a reliable vehicle and be able to transport animals safely.
  • Work Conditions: The role requires attention to detail, physical demands, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Weight Handling: The candidate must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, reliability, and a team player attitude.
