Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Dining Establishment Manager to lead our team at Tim Hortons. This role is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of staff who prepare and portion food, as well as training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for estimating ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, hiring food service staff, and ensuring that food and service meet quality control standards. Additionally, they will be expected to prepare budget and cost estimates, address customers' complaints or concerns, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Responsibilities
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient operation of the dining establishment.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including training them in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to improve overall efficiency and productivity.
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation and place orders accordingly.
  • Hire and train new food service staff to meet the needs of the dining establishment.
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards by conducting regular quality checks and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Prepare budget and cost estimates to ensure effective financial management of the dining establishment.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform business decisions.
Requirements
  • Diploma or certificate in a related field, such as hospitality or culinary arts.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
