Restaurant Chain Corporate Controller

At Le Petit Chef, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join our team in leading the strategic direction of our restaurant chain. The successful candidate will be responsible for authorizing and organizing the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions. The role involves coordinating the work of regions, divisions, or departments, and establishing objectives for the organization. The Corporate Controller will also formulate or approve policies and programs, represent the organization in negotiations or official functions, and select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Additional responsibilities include establishing financial and administrative controls, formulating and approving promotional campaigns, and approving overall human resources planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
• Co-ordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments
• Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs
• Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions
• Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
• Establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning
Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines
• Strong leadership and management skills
