Nurse Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to join NL Health Services as a Nurse Practitioner in the Adult/Family All Ages category. As a key member of the interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with health professionals to provide comprehensive health services to clients and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional, analytical, and autonomous comprehensive health services to clients and patients, including health assessments and diagnosis of diseases, disorders, injuries, and conditions.
- Treat and manage acute and chronic illnesses, and identify health risks and needs within a holistic model.
- Work collaboratively with health professionals across the continuum of care to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate the surgical weight loss program to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive education, evaluation, and follow-up care to preoperative and post-operative bariatric surgery patients.
- Promote preventative health care practices and assist patients and families in adapting to the required treatment and lifestyle changes.
- Completion of an approved/recognized Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of NL and Licensed (or eligible for licensure) as a Nurse Practitioner (Adult/Family All Ages) with the CRNNL.
- Minimum of five (5) years clinical nursing experience in the last seven (7) working with adult acute care surgery patients.
- Current BCLS Certification.
- Possessed strong abilities in the areas of collaboration, clinical reasoning, professional development, interpersonal effectiveness, conflict management, and teamwork.
