RUHTAJ TRANSPORT INC is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Heavy Haul Specialist to join our team. As a Heavy Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy truck and trailer, transporting goods across the country. This is a long-haul position, requiring you to be away from home for extended periods.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a heavy truck and trailer, ensuring safe transportation of goods
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers
- Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
- Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
- Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
- Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
- Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
- Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
