Operations Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our Cash Services Messenger team in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the work of their teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage the work of your team members to meet customer expectations
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Serve as a contact person for workers from assigned territories
  • Implement schedule and policy changes as needed
  • Conduct training sessions on various topics, including material handling, employee orientation, quality improvement, and computer use
  • Promote safe work practices by conducting safety audits and attending company safety meetings
  • Participate in disciplinary processes and grievance settlements
  • Monitor operations to ensure adherence to administrative policies, safety rules, union contracts, and government regulations
  • Manage expenses to stay within approved budgets
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives
  • Prepare recommendations for management, such as proposed fee or schedule changes
  • Conduct investigations into transportation accidents and improve safety procedures as needed

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in administration and management of unionized employees
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including overnights and weekends
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Health and Safety management experience
  • Working knowledge of WCB reporting process
  • Possession of acquisition license (PAL) (training provided for those without)
  • Driven by providing exceptional customer service
  • Sense of urgency, strong communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong teamwork and partnership orientation
  • Mechanical and/or electrical inclination is an asset

Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
