NearSource Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Data Science Team Lead with expertise in machine learning to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to drive data-driven decision-making across our digital platform and shape product strategy.

Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned professional with over 5 years of experience in designing and deploying machine learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing, as well as strong proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, big data platforms like Hadoop and Spark, and programming languages such as Python.

The successful candidate will lead and mentor team members, spearheading the development of ML-powered features on the Digital Customer Platform. Additionally, they will collaborate closely with senior leaders in Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Design to ensure decisions are informed by data and have a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement machine learning pipelines to support data-driven decision-making processes
  • Leverage expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and machine learning to develop models that shape product strategy and priorities
  • Address complex challenges to uncover customer behavior insights and drive product adoption
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data-informed decisions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science
  • Over 5 years of experience in designing and deploying machine learning solutions
  • Expertise in Large Language Models and Natural Language Processing
  • Strong proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases, big data platforms like Hadoop and Spark, and programming languages such as Python
  • Hands-on experience with data science tools and advanced machine learning techniques
