Job Summary

Our Personal Support Workers (PSW's) report to the Client Services Coordinator and are expected to deliver a high standard of care that allows our clients and patients to remain safe and comfortable in their own home environment. The services provided will be detailed in the personalized care plan. Compass Homecare is currently recruiting for Personal Support Workers (PSW's) in GTA.

Responsibilities

Our caregivers will assist clients and patients with personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and light laundry. They will also accompany clients on outings, appointments, shopping, and errands where applicable. Additionally, they will provide companionship to clients and patients and offer respite for families. Daily documentation and charting in electronic chart will be required.

Qualifications

Applicants must be able to proficiently communicate in English (verbal and written). The ability to speak other languages is considered an asset. Travel to and from clients by transit or by car is also required. A Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (RPN, RN, foreign-trained healthcare professional) is necessary. Previous experience working as a PSW is an asset. Access to internet/mobile phone and a negative TB skin test or chest x-ray are also required. Current CPR and First Aid Certificate and Vulnerable Sector Screen or recent Police Clearance Certificate are mandatory. Compass Homecare requires all employees to provide proof of full vaccination for Covid-19.
