Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Sales Director to lead our Data Solutions sales team at the TMX Group. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced sales professional to drive revenue growth by securing new business and expanding our client base.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed assigned revenue targets. This will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within existing accounts and across the global addressable market.

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive sales strategy to promote our full product suite, with a specific emphasis on solutions tailored for the Data Management and Analytics business function.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, sometimes in collaboration with the Sales Account Manager where applicable.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across TMX Group, including CDS, Product Management, Account Management and Sales Enablement.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Data Management business function and effectively articulate the TMX Datalinx value proposition to clients. They will also possess strong market knowledge and share valuable insights with clients, including thought leadership and product updates.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of shown success in selling market data solutions to data management clients.
  • Consistent achievement of sales targets and key performance indicators.
  • Active engagement within the global institutional trading community with strong existing relationships within the target market.
  • Deep understanding of the market data needs and challenges of the data management business function.
