Job Title: Drywall Installer

Betterjoice Renovation Inc. is seeking a skilled Drywall Installer to join our team. As a Drywall Installer, you will be responsible for installing drywall sheets, cutting and fitting them to create smooth surfaces, and applying joint compound to finish the joints.

Responsibilities:
  • Install drywall sheets and cut them to size using a saw or utility knife.
  • Apply joint compound to the seams and corners of the drywall, using a putty knife to smooth out the surface.
  • Cure freshly plastered surfaces to ensure a smooth finish.
  • Measure, cut, and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to install drywall sheets and other materials.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms to ensure safe access to work areas.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation.
  • Ability to work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs) and work in a dusty and noisy environment.
Work Environment:

Betterjoice Renovation Inc. is a commercial, industrial, and residential construction company. As a Drywall Installer, you will work in various locations, including commercial and industrial sites, and residential areas.

Work Hours:

The work hours are 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
