Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming, to promote independence and dignity.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and a sense of community.
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring residents' safety and comfort while maintaining their independence.
  • Administer basic care, including taking vital signs, assisting with medication, and providing first aid as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to infection control protocols and ensuring the overall cleanliness of residents' rooms and common areas.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring residents' needs are met and their goals are achieved.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending.
