Job Title: Companion

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Companion to join our team at Hayer Family. As a Companion, you will provide essential support and care to our elderly clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility
  • Provide companionship and social interaction, including conversation, reading, and watching movies
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties, including laundry and meal preparation
  • Transport clients to appointments and outings, as needed
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Non-smoking environment
  • Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis
Work Environment:

Our clients live in a non-smoking environment, and we provide optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis. This is not a condition of employment.

Target Audience:

We are seeking a Companion to work with elderly clients who require support with daily living activities.

Transportation/Travel Information:

Public transportation is available for clients who require transportation to appointments and outings.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

The Companion will work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive tasks and walking required. The Companion must be able to lift and move clients, as needed.

Personal Suitability:

We are seeking a Companion who is punctual, dependable, flexible, organized, and reliable. The Companion must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
