Job Opportunity

Riddell Kurczaba is seeking a talented Intermediate Interior Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and contribute to the development of our clients' spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate design development on own initiative, working closely with senior staff and project administrative staff.
  • Provide Revit and AutoCAD support in all areas of projects and for all levels of detailing.
  • Review shop drawings and provide construction administrative support under guidance.
  • Perform meetings on site or with clients or sub-consultants as directed by the Senior Interior Designer or Project Manager.
  • Prepare space/furnishing plans, design details, and finish selections to support a concept.
  • Coordinate and mentor junior staff, delegating work as needed.
  • Utilize industry-standard software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Reader/Writer.
  • Ensure compliance with the Alberta Building Code.
  • Manage drawing files and drawing lists, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
  • Deliver aesthetically pleasing and usable drawings, showcasing attention to detail and creativity.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with colleagues and clients.
  • Hold a diploma or degree from a 3+ year interior design or technology program.
  • Bring 3+ years of post-graduation experience, working as a Job Captain or intermediate level support on various projects in Canada.
