Job Title: Sub-System Lead Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sub-System Lead Engineer to join our team at General Motors. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of electromechanical systems, including steering, braking, and chassis systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of physics-based models and simulations to optimize system performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and test electromechanical systems
  • Develop and implement requirements management processes to ensure system compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our systems remain competitive

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in electromechanical systems development
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with simulation environments and plant modeling
