We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at PLEA Community Services Society of BC. As a temporary full-time member, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality services to individuals with communication disorders.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the nature and extent of communication disorders in participants.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and communication impairments.
- Therapy and Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to support participants in achieving their communication goals.
- Consultation and Education: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert guidance on communication disorders and develop training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:
- Registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHHPBC).
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with communication disorders, including those with cerebral palsy, hearing deficiencies, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and other impairments.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and supporting program development.
- Valid Class 5 or 7N B.C. Driver's License and suitable driver's abstract/claims history).
