Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify the nature and extent of communication disorders in participants.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and communication impairments.
  • Therapy and Counseling: Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions to support participants in achieving their communication goals.
  • Consultation and Education: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide expert guidance on communication disorders and develop training programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHHPBC).
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with communication disorders, including those with cerebral palsy, hearing deficiencies, neurodevelopmental disabilities, and other impairments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering high-quality services and supporting program development.
  • Valid Class 5 or 7N B.C. Driver's License and suitable driver's abstract/claims history).
