**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading design-build and integrated project delivery firm in Vancouver, BC. As an Electrical Technologist, you will play a critical role in developing high-performance building systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards while integrating the latest technology.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in electrical system design and the ability to manage projects. You will be responsible for developing and coordinating electrical designs using Revit, working closely with senior engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and modify detailed Revit models for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, life safety, and communication systems for residential, commercial, and institutional projects.
  • Coordinate electrical design with in-house teams, construction managers, and external consultants using Revit and BIM platforms.
  • Conduct conceptual and detailed designs of electrical systems for both new construction and building renewal projects.
  • Acknowledge existing electrical systems, conduct site reviews, and prepare condition reports to support building renewal initiatives.
  • Evaluate all designs comply with the Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, and National Building Code of Canada.
  • Support contract administration and field reviews for projects under construction.
  • Assist in reviewing contractor submittals, RFIs, and technical documentation related to electrical systems.
  • Stay updated on new technologies, industry trends, and best practices in electrical design and Revit/BIM processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Technologist in the buildings electrical engineering field.
  • Proficiency in Revit software for electrical design and coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, BC Building Code, and other relevant regulations.
  • Experience in building condition assessments and technical reporting.
  • Familiarity with tender package specifications, feasibility studies, budget estimates, shop drawing reviews, and commissioning.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with project teams and clients.
