Key Responsibilities:

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, utilizing IRS principles to drive a culture of zero harm.

Technical Expertise:

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide input on day-to-day operations to drive business goals.
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Lead Root Cause Analyses to drive problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with operators and supervisors to troubleshoot issues and ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Work with the project specialist to design, install, and commission new equipment.
  • Partner with production to analyze asset utilization, effectiveness, and life cycle to inform maintenance strategies.
  • Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure maintenance effectiveness.
  • Assist the maintenance group in establishing equipment parts and procurement processes.
  • Plan, schedule, and communicate maintenance work schedules and plant shutdowns to optimize equipment reliability.
  • Manage contractors as needed to support maintenance activities.

Employee Management:

  • Work closely with the maintenance supervisor to direct the bargaining unit workforce and ensure execution of requirements.

Administrative:

  • Maintain accurate records and systems to support effective maintenance operations.
  • Act as payroll backup for the maintenance supervisor as needed.

Environment/Quality:

  • Ensure compliance with environmental, food safety, and quality regulations and policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical, creative problem-solving, planning, and organization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage conflict in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and application of safe work practices.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP, and Microsoft Project.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a seated or standing position for prolonged periods, perform office or clerical duties, and travel between office and plant environments.
