We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Consulting Intern to join our team in Montréal. As an Actuarial Consulting Intern, you will assist our Benefit Consultants with client management requirements, focusing on retention of the assigned book of business and support with business development activities.
Your Responsibilities- Perform financial analysis of insurance data and cost modeling.
- Prepare financial analysis reports and presentations communicating key results to clients.
- Maintain strong relationships and participate in negotiations with insurers and partners.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and insurers.
- Help in developing strategic recommendations for clients and participate in the development of new business.
- Manage the quality and timeliness of client deliverables.
- Assist in keeping the internal database and tracker up-to-date.
- Maintain and develop internal technical knowledge.
- Develop and promote our company as a key player in the market with excellent knowledge of the industry.
- Perform any other related task or special project.
- Passed at least one Society of Actuaries (SOA) preliminary examination and is committed to obtaining at least the ASA/ACIA designation.
- At least two years of university studies in mathematics, statistics, actuarial sciences or a related field.
- Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English. The candidate will work in English with stakeholders (colleagues and customers) outside Quebec.
- Relevant actuarial experience an asset.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a demanding work environment.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
