Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Float Educator for our Infant & Toddler program. As a Float Educator, you will have the opportunity to work with children and families in various YMCA centres across Prince George, while maintaining a home base at one of our centres in PG.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and creative programming for infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Work collaboratively with staff teams to deliver a consistent and age-appropriate program based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with families, ensuring open and effective communication.
  • Assist in planning and implementing a child-centred program that meets the unique needs of each child.
  • Adhere to all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies.
Requirements
  • Current and valid Infant & Toddler Early Childhood Educator License to Practice.
  • Three satisfactory professional references and experience working with children in a child care or recreational setting.
  • Current Emergency Child Care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search.
  • Reliable transportation within Prince George.
