Job Summary
Island Health is seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians and Locums to join our team at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. As a key member of our Emergency Department, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to a collaborative and dynamic team environment.
About the Role
We are looking for physicians who are comfortable working in a single-coverage department without on-site Respiratory Therapy or ICU support. You will be responsible for assessing and treating patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Candidate must hold CCFP-EM or FRCPC Emergency Medicine certification
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
- Experience in community hospital ED settings is an asset
- Flexibility in scheduling and availability to fill crisis call-in volume and acuity work
