Tile Setter

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team. As a key member of our installation crew, you will be responsible for setting tiles in place and applying pressure to affix them to the base.

Key responsibilities include:

• 
  
• Preparing, measuring, and marking surfaces to be covered
  
• Mixing, applying, and spreading mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using a hand trowel
  
• Aligning and straightening tiles
  
• Cutting and fitting tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools
  
• Packing grout into joints between tiles and removing excess grout
  
• Removing and replacing cracked or damaged tiles
  
• Laying and setting mosaic tiles to create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs
  
• Building underbeds and installing anchor bolts, wires, and brackets
  
• Cutting, surfacing, polishing, and installing marble and granite
  
• Mixing, laying, and polishing terra surfaces
  
• Installing tile strips
  

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• 
  
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the trade
  
• A valid driver's license and own transportation
  
• The ability to distinguish between colors and have excellent hand-eye coordination
  
• Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work in physically demanding environments
